I'm looking for a lighweight distribution that would run on an old computer, Pentium 133 minimal RAM. I want to set it up to play internet radio stations. Preferably use keyboard or remote control to work basic functions (volume, pick from list of stations). Ideally wouldn't need a monitor when just playing stations.

Anyone know of something like this?

Thanks.

Thanks, I've been looking at them. So far Puppy is the best I've found but I was hoping for something less demanding on the hardware. It's an OLD computer I'm trying to do this with.

I'm also looking at DSL but having problems getting it to start up. I don't need a GUI, necessarily, just something that will start up in a reasonable amount of time, connect to the internet, my sound card, and connect to radio streams.

Seems like someone must have thought of this before me.

I have done this exact same type of project (both video and audio streaming off of local sources), and I would suggest slackware for the distro, and ffserver for the streaming (unless you have a different streaming solution in mind). I think I was using slackware 10 when I built the box, but newer versions should work pretty well too.
