Any error messages ? Please post them back here. Incidentally, why are you running FC5 ? FC9 (Fedora Core 9) is released in 8 days (on 13th of May '08) Fedora site: http://fedoraproject.org/ Also, I would suggest updating your Fedora to a newer version (FC5 is ~2 years old now...) if you can.

If you can't, at least use JRE u6 which solves this problem, to the best of my knowledge. Also, could you tell us the installation procedure you used.
