Subject: Displaying audio file information in file managers
A while ago I asked if it's possible to display audio file information (ID3 tags) in Nautilus and/or Krusader and no one rose to the challenge :-( Since I had a very specific problem, I wrote a small Perl script that starts at a given directory, scans all sub-directories, find all MP3 files and for each file displays the interesting information (the duration in minutes:seconds). It uses the packages MP3::Info and MP3::Tag, both from CPAN. It's not integrated in a file manager, but it's close enough... If anyone is interested, I can post or mail the script.

AJK, glad you figured this out on your own. If you don't mind sharing your script, it'd be best if you post it here or in the original thread so that anyone who comes across these threads looking for something similar will find the answer. Original thread, How to view ID3 audio information in Nautilus and Krusader: http://www.linux.com/forums/topic/1389 Cheers!
