Mandriva Linux login??!!

Subject: Mandriva Linux login??!!
i just downloaded Mandriva Linux made the disk and when i go to install it it asks me for a user and password?? if its free then ware do i get them???

If its asking you for that during the install, thats because it wants you to supply a username and pasword. Its not a way of verifying you 'bought' a copy, its for user authentication once you have the os installed. It shouldn't matter what you give it for each, but that is what you will use to login to your machine from now on.
