Subject: Flash disk write error
Hi guys. I have a problem with my flash disk. this morning i copied files to the flash with no issues, the problem started after i created a label for the flash in windows. At work we use a usb flash disk hub and withought an internal name label recognizing my flash can be hectic. i think windows might have made the flash read only in linux. Which commands can i use to make it read/write coz i dont want to format it(which would make the flash lose the label that i created.).

You can add labels in linux. See here: http://www.linux.com/base/ldp/howto/Partition/labels.html Is the format vfat? If so, there aren't any permissions assigned, so Win shouldn't have done anything to it. So I assume not. If the format is ntfs, try here for specifics: http://www.linux-ntfs.org/doku.php?id=ntfs-en
