Subject: Question about Linux on PS3
Ok so ive been trying to find out if it would be possible to install linux Ubuntu on an external Hard Drive for my PS3, yes the hard drive is compatible, ive been using it for Game Saves, Videos, Music etc... The reason im asking is because i think it would be much easier to simply install Ubuntu on My External PS3 HD. Would it be possible to boot linux this way on my PS3?

You can download Ubuntu on your PS3, but Idk about installing it on your portable hard drive and you might want to try Yellow Dog Linux instead.
This has installation info for Ubuntu \/

Yellow Dog Linux sounds like a better choice because Sony payed them to make it.
