Subject: Help needed: Installing Linux OS(Knoppix, Ubuntu or Puppy)
Hello,
I finally decided to switch my operating system from Windows to Linux but i am having a hard time doing so.
I have surf the net and found Knoppix, Ubuntu and Puppy OS so interesting. But my problem is I don't have a cd/dvd writer nor USB pen to install the program.
I have 2 harddrives installed on my pc (1 40g and 1 10g). I am planning to save the iso image file to my 10g hdd and have installed on my 40g harddrive. Would it be possible?
I tried downloading the file for each OS and saving it on my 10g hdd but it not booting up. I also tried extracting the file but still no luck.
Can you guys help me on installing any of this OS please....
Thank you in advance.

I think your best bet is to buy or request a free copy from the Ubuntu site, here:
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu
I didn't look, but I presume that Knoppix and Puppy Linux have the same options available. Check their sites if you prefer one of those distros.
If it ain't broke, you aren't trying hard enough.
