Connecting Linux VPN client to Microsoft VPN Server

Sid Jackson Joined: Jul 07, 2008 Posts: 2 Other Topics	Posted Jul 08, 2008 at 7:54:40 PM Subject: Connecting Linux VPN client to Microsoft VPN Server I'm having difficulty conntecting my ASUS PC4G VPN/PPTP tunnel to a Microsoft VPN server. I set up a VPN profile on the linux client with a Public IP, a User, a password then connect. I get errors. This same PC will work fine on the local Domain. Is there anything extra to turn on/off because it is a Microsoft VPN server? Thanks for any help

Please e-mail me the errors that you are getting along with your PPP peer file. DO NOT send me your chap-secrets file but make sure that it contains the correct information for authentication. GRE protocol (protocol 47) needs to be forwarded by the router and not blocked by a firewall. http://poptop.sourceforge.net/dox/gre-protocol-unavailable.phtml
