Subject: How to configure an external modem on Ubuntu 8.04
I have a U.S. Robotics V9.2 external modem. I installed the drivers in Wine, but Windows drivers ain't gonna help, now are they? Does anyone know what settings or something to use? It's an external USB dialup modem. Thanks in advance. Yes, I have the scanModem.gz, whatever that script does.

http://www.aboutdebian.com/modems.htm Ubuntu is based on debian. Hope this helps. ..corey
