Subject: linux professional xp operating system ?
I've been on searching on ebay for a copy of windows xp or vista to run with my macbook pro 15" but I ran across Linux Professional XP operating system. I'm familiar with Ubuntu and gentoo Linux. On Ebay I've aslo run across Ubuntu-Best Windows based os! Better the XP or Vista! Is it true let me know what you think. Is its purpose to run windows based programs without the help of wine or other programs like it? Or does it need WINE and is it just more compatible and runs faster then other Linux Distros? I use The Adobe Creative Suite CS 3, Rhino 3-D_4, Corel Painter X, Autodesk 3-D Studio Max 9, and Light Wave.I have already bought all this software which I need and I am use too and use daily. Thanks for your help!

All your bought software will have to be run using Wine.http://www.winehq.org/. That being said I hate to suggest this but for what you want to do my suggestion is to fork out the bucks for XP because "Linux is not Windows" and for feeling comfortable you should stick with XP. Linux takes some getting used to and the comfort factor for Newbie Windows users trying to run Windows software in Linux even Ubuntu which I run is non existant. Its going to take you some work to get everything working the way you want it to and Windows wil be just point and click. There is lots of open source software in synaptic and apt get package managers that are comparable to your bought software but again you got to learn how to run it. So from your post I suggest you fork out the bucks for Windows.

(so max it out )) This only implies to those of us whom either Do a lot of grapphics Design and desktop publishing which can get sticky with a minimum amount of ram installed. 4. Burn your first iso image at a maximum speed of 12x to 6x and make sure you are using a cd burning software which allows for data verification to insure your iso us correctly burned. 5.
