Which distributions are known to have great performance, but also excellent ease of use and compatibility on VMware Workstation 6.04? I have 2GB of real RAM in my system and Windows Vista Home Premium. I can usually get away with alotting up to 1GB of RAM for my virtual machines and still have a stable system. What would you recommend and if you also use VMWARE 6 with Linux, how exactly did you configure VMware to run Linux? BTW, I am new here and this is my very first post! :-D

But, on linux systems you just run the bin file, and then run vmware-config.pl to configure the network, shared folders, etc. IMHO i prefer VirtualBox.
