Subject: Port already in use: 1099
Me and my friend are currently making a Maplestory private server, we need help, when we run the world.bat channel.bat and login.bat we get error Port already in use: 1099. We currently have java running on port 1099. Any suggestion on how to fix? btw, we need java on the host ;)

you only have two options. 1) change the port the java application is running on 2) change the port maplestory is running on. There is no way to have two apps listen on the same port at same time. I take it back, depending on your setup, you can add a virtual ethernet (or another physical one if you have to NIC cards) and bind java to listen on port 1099 on one of the interfaces, and setup maplestory to listen on the other one. (I have no idea how to do this on your setup because I've never messed with maplestory, and you don't say what java app is running) [Modified by: Khabi on July 28, 2008 10:31 PM]
