Subject: not able to put ubuntu into my system
i don't understand just to why my system starts hanging a lot when i install Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop Edition to my desk top....... the config of my compu is pentium 4, 3.00ghz processor and intel mother board with D101GGC or D101GCC probably.. ( a bit screwed i am in the last two letters... i hope that the experts will understand.... to which model i am talking of).. so please anyone can just direct me to the rt destination.. help will be highly appreciated... thankzzz... CrapKing

Can you please elaborate on what exactly happens. Where does it hang? Do you see a black screen? Do you get error messages? Does the system restart? How much RAM do you have?
