Subject: HDD BIOS Password makes Linux drive unbootable - know issue?
I am using an HDD Password for work purposes on an SSD drive with a dell Optiplex 755 Desktop and trying to see that the system asks for password and then boots. both Red hat enterprise 5.1 and Ubuntu client 8.04 became "no boot device available" as long as password is set, but boot normally once I disable it again. has anyone ever heard of this or encountered it? I'm using the Ext3 file system, if this has any releavance
