I don't mean to start a war but I want to purchase a new laptop that is fully compatible with linux. What's my best bet in terms of major manufacturers? Any manufacturers/models to avoid? I probably use CentOS (Redhat) linux.

Works fine, took a bit of tweaking to get it working right (mostly just the wifi was spotty). I'm willing to bet most of the Inspirons will run linux just fine.
