Information Assurance Engineer- Charleston, SC

Our client is a leader in providing solutions-based information technology services to the Department of Defense (DoD), and we are currently seeking experienced Information Assurance Engineers with knowledge of DITSCAP/DIACAP, DoD C4ISR security requirements, TCP/IP, UNIX security, Windows security, Common Criteria, PKI, DISA STIGs and SRRs, nmap, and nessus.

Successful candidates will be actively involved in:
• Identifying, refining, and documenting IA requirements and supporting the validation of systems, software, and services against the U.S. Government, Department of Defense, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and Navy IA Controls
• Identifying potential security issues in software configurations, recommending corrective actions, communicating issues, and monitoring progress in a POA&M
• Planning, performing, analyzing, and documenting IA test and evaluation events for systems, software, and services
• Preparing and/or reviewing IA documentation, including Detailed Test Plans, System Interface Profiles, and the DIACAP Implementation Plan

Required skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major, or six plus years working with information systems
• Five plus years of experience with IA, security engineering, DITSCAP/DIACAP, DoD C4ISR security requirements, TCP/IP, UNIX security, Windows security, Common Criteria, PKI, C&A, system and security test and evaluation, and risk assessment
• Knowledge and experience with DISA STIGs and SRRs for multiple systems (Windows, UNIX) and general IA Tools (nmap, nessus, etc.)
• U.S. DoD “Secret” security clearance or the ability to obtain one by way of background check

Candidates with the following qualifications will be given additional consideration:
• Basic knowledge of the following standards, products, and components: CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise, Subversion, CollabNet CUBiT, XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, and VMWare
• Basic knowledge of DoD Directives/Instructions: DoDI 5000.2, DoDD 8500.1; DoDI 8500.2; DoDD/I 8530.1/.2; CJCSI/M 6510.1; the NSA/IATF; CC Protection Profiles (PP) for TCSEC Level “C2” Controlled Access
• Knowledge of DoD/military command structure to include all branches of the Armed Services

Ideal candidates will be expected to support multiple DoD programs which currently include the Net-Enabled Command Capability (NECC), Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Joint Service Explosive Ordnance Disposal (JEOD), Joint Counter Radio-Controlled IED Electronic Warfare (JCREW), DoD Explosives Safety Board (DDESB), and the Global Information Grid (GIG) Federated Development and Certification Environment (FDCE).
