Subject: Evolution Email - Delete Junk and Trash Folders
I use IMAP for all of my email accounts (14 total). I'm currently using Thunderbird and thinking about switching to Evolution. With so many email accounts, I need to have only the Inbox showing so I know when a new message has arrived. With Evolution, a default Junk and Trash folder is created for each email account, which wastes a lot of space. Is there any way to get rid of those folders? I'm surprised that there is no option for this.

I don't understand. Do you wish to remove the Trash folder from getting listed in the side-pane?

Yes. I don't need the Junk folder and the Trash folder is redundant. There is already a Trash folder as default under Inbox when expanded. With so many emails, I need to conserve space as much as possible in the folder view pane.

Click the Junk folder, and then click Folder -> Delete. I won't recommend this, since there's no way to bring this folder back if you want it later. I suggest you try the forum or the mailing list for confirmation before deleting any folder http://www.nabble.com/Gnome---Evolution-f1297.html http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
Click the Junk folder, and then click Folder -> Delete.
The Delete option is greyed out.
