I have been able to install quite a few different distros, can configure hardware with decreasing difficulty and I have just finished getting my first LAMP setup going with SELinux. I need to improve my programming skills if I want to keep growing my skills. I have heard that Python is a good language to start with, does anyone out there know of good reference books and possibly free places to find some places to practice writing code, reading code and writing more code. I want to learn to write code well, and I feel that learning by doing is the only way I can get better. I would like to learn C or C++, but I have read that it is better start with Python first. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am also looking for a good shell scripting reference. If anyone out there can help, I really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Jeff
