Subject: an Idea!
I'm learning java, python, and jython. I'm dabbling in open GL and I got some insepration! Why not make a 3D Distro? You have an avitar, and you move through your "House" opening files, which are opned in 3D interfaces, like a word prosseser shaped like a type writer. You would pic up your files, and bring them to the object that uses the file. This would also be good in helping to prevent deleting files you want by having to go to the trash bin to delete things. I'm still working out the kinks in the idea(got to be in your head before it gets put into promt!) but I think it should be ready in a cople years. Please pardon my spelling, I got a key missing on the key board, thanks!

Don't get run over!

It's probably easier to criticize that to innovate, but in my mind the goal should be to develop interfaces that enables us to get things done faster, with the least amount of system resources. How about redirecting all that 3D enthusiasm into improving one of the current FOSS computer games out there, or inventing your own! There are plenty of projects that could use your help, I'm sure -- GL-117, Tremulous, Spring, or something like that.
