Subject: HELP!!! wine
i downloaded the program wine and oppened it in XARCHIVER and extracted the files but im confused i dont know how to get the software to run im used to using windows and thats one of the main reasons i want wine so i can run .exe files. theres a lot of items that have been extracted. how do i run wine? im on an acer netbook aspire one with my opperating system linux linpus lite if that helps.

Do you know how to access you package manager? Wine is a complex program, and it is probably best if you install it through your distros official repositories. I thought I heard that Linpus had the Apt package management tools, though I've never used Linpus. If so, you can open a terminal, go root ("su" or "sudo su"), and use the command "apt-get install wine". (Must be plugged into the Internet.)
