Subject: Linux and Arabic script??
Can anyone help: I am looking to buy a netbook which runs on Linux, I think Linux Linpus Lite, on a European model. Does anyone know if this will this support Arabic (right to left) text, and if so will I need to download additional software to enable this and where can I get it? Any help appreciated!! Many thanks

Yes there's good Arabic support. At most you have to install a keyboard and language pack, which are easily available through the software repositories for most distribution. I personally would recommend that after buying this notebook, you remove Linpus from it and instead install any of Fedora, Ubuntu, Mandriva or OpenSUSE. These are far more complete distributions, have exceleent community, there's good documentation, etc. Cheers!
