Subject: Trying to boot linux from USB flash drive?
I am really new to this, and obviously not as computer savvy as i thought. Any help is GREATLY appreciated, and humbly welcomed. Now that I have that out of the way, let me try to explain the problem I am having. I have recently downloaded AIOPendrivelinux08.zip, and cant get the d**n thing to boot...I have done exactly as the instructions have said, and cant get it to work (made sure flash drive is FAT32/64, extracted files to flash drive, made my G drive bootable from "makeboot", etc with seemingly no problems). When i change the boot order to USB and reboot, I get a message that first said "pendrive without o/s. Remove and reboot. Then I changed something (I honestly cant remember what), and tried to boot again. Now the message says "cant find kernel image"... i'm lost, and pretty frustrated. I really want to get into this Linux thing, for a lot of reasons, but just cant figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions? please? This is the page that I took instructions and the downloads from - http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2008/07/30/all-in-one-pendrivelinux-2008/
