Subject: How to Customize a Live CD... any resources or tutorials?
Hi everybody. I'm about as new as a newbie can be to Linux. I know how to burn ISO images, though. I've run Ubuntu off a DVD and just don't feel like I've learned enough to set up my PC for a dual boot yet...but I want to. (Actually, I want to buy one of those new Dell computers that come with Ubuntu installed.) I love that there are so many distro's of Linux. I was wondering if anyone could pass along any resources, tutorials, readings (I'm not scared of reading and learning on my own) or just any direction in general about how to LEARN how to customize a distro like Ubuntu (so that I have a live CD customized until I either buy a laptop w/Linux, or dual boot) or Grafpup? I've seen some information around, but I'm definitely confused. A lot of it is way over my head. So I guess I'm asking for a good starting point. Thanking anyone who helps in advance, Pres

This is the only free one that I know of. It comes in Ubuntus software package manager, but you can visit the authors site with the link I am providing, plus learn a little about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_Master http://www.ubuntugeek.com/iso-master-the-ultimate-cddvd-image-isonrg-editor.html [Modified by: rokytnji on October 20, 2008 02:06 PM]
