If they can't help you, you can also try the Ubuntu hardware forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/ There probably aren't a lot of people on this site who happen to both use Ubuntu and the printer model you mentioned. It's been a while since I've installed a printer in Ubuntu, but I remember there was quite a few models available in the drivers list. When you go to install the printer (through the built-in printer configuration tool in the administration menu) you might try the drivers of the closest similar printer model and see if those work.
