Hey, from what I see on the Xubuntu live cd, it is the best os I've used. So, I'd like to dual boot it with windows (which I only keep for crappy school software) and I tried the live cds and wubi installers for both ubuntu and xubuntu. During the install with all, the installer works until the partitioning stage, where the installer fails but the os still works off of the cd. Should I try the alternate install disk? Also, is there something like an image that I could write to a 16 gig thumb drive, because that would be great. My hardware is a 2 year old presario that seems to run xp and the live cd's pretty good, thing is I just hate xp, but anyway slow hardware is not a problem, and it's not like it's outlandish hardware or anything either.
