Subject: Text/Word processing in Japanese
I am looking for a text/word processor to work in a Linux environment. I am currently using Fedora 9 and will upgrade soon to Fedora 10. I have in the past used EW+, but this ran on a machine using MS-DOS, and was dongle protected (the dongle was connected to the parallel printer port)and also required a special line in last place in the CONFIG.SYS file. I have also more recently have experience of UniWriter, but when I checked their website, it appears that the software only runs under Micro$oft Window$. It also offers me far more functionality than I really need, as I would normally only need access to the Chinese/Japanese/Korean character set. For those familiar with the problem, what I need is Romaji to Kana conversion, with the kana then offering me a choice of possible Kanji. Has anyone any suggestions?
