What Linux distro are you using? The easiest way to install it is to use the package manager (Synaptic, or apt-get if using Ubuntu) or even the Add/Remove programs (again, if using Ubuntu). Try looking in these for it first. Also, Azureus is now called "Vuze".

I just found your post in the other section. (Don't double post! Important information doesn't get shared.) From that post I figured out that you are using an Acer Aspire, which runs Linpus Lite. Linpus is based off of Fedora, so it uses 'yum' as the package manager. So, to install Azureus, you should open a terminal and enter the following command:
sudo yum install azureus
It will prompt you for a password, and then install everything. There is probably also a graphical way to do this, but I have no idea what Linpus is like.

It looks like you can open it by going to: files -> my documents and then clicking the file menu and selecting terminal. I can't give you more explanation than that because I don't have one. (We really need somebody on here that knows how to use these things!)

gwalker, try to install transmission, if you're a casual user of torrent it's a better option in my opinion. Once you find the terminal (should be in the applications menu somewhere - assuming Linpus has an applications menu) type: sudo yum install transmission If you're looking for a e-mule-like p2p program, you're better off with frostwire. Probably you'll have to download it from their website (it seems frostwire can also deal with bittorrent, so you wouldn't need transmission or vuze =) ) http://www.frostwire.com/?id=thanks&os=redhat
