Subject: SimpleTech external hard drive issue
Hey guys, new to the Linux community. I currently have all of my music on my SimpleTech SimpleDrive external hard drive (http://www.superwarehouse.com/SimpleTech_SimpleDrive_1_TB_External_Hard_Drive/SP-U35_1TB/p/1502664) This is the message that displays after I double-click the icon in "Computer." "Cannot mount hard drive" "DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." I cannot delete the information in this hard drive. Thanks in advance! atm atm259@gmail.com

How is the drive formatted? Is it fat32 or ntfs? If ntfs, it won't automount successfully. You have to manually ntfsmount it as root. Also, depending upon your system, it may or may not support write access to ntfs volumes. The latest ntfs drivers do support read/write access, but some older ones do not.

Sometimes real fast is almost as good as real time. Remember, Google is your friend!
