Subject: Can't connect to internet
I have a Dell Optiplex gx150 , 256 Rams, 40 Gig of memory and 1.0 gigherzt processor and ethernet. I installed last version of ubuntu and can't connect to internet. i am getting confused with my ubuntu. I have a dsl modem to connect to internet

Are you connected via ethernet cable to your computer? By that I mean are you physically plugged into a cable from computer to modem. Is this installed or are you just running as a live CD.

This helps if you are using any of the Broadband services Goto Applications on the left top corner then to Accessories and then to terminal Type the following command sudo pppoeconf press yes whenever it asks for. Type in the username and password and you will be connected to the internet
