Subject: google chrome
Does anyone know if Google Chrome works with Linux? I don't want to try it and mess up anything. I've also heard something about a program called Chromium that is supposed to be the Linux equivalent of Chrome. Is that true?

People say that if you play Microsoft programs backwards, you hear satanic things, but thats nothing. If you run them forwards, then they install Windows!

The early Chrome beta ran under Wine. I noodled with it a bit, and decided to wait until a native Linux beta was released before I tried it again. It may become a significant browser, eventually, but at this point it is the beginning of the implementation of some very solid software engineering concepts (coarse-grained process-based threading for security and reliability for example) that might make extending/customizing the browser much less susceptible to programming and configuration errors, virus and trojan infestations, etc. Only the future will tell. Sorry, but I'm not familiar with Chromium.

Sometimes real fast is almost as good as real time. Remember, Google is your friend!
