Test drove it on a core duo with 2 gig of ram. Very pretty interface and felt comfortable like Ubuntu. Liked it alot Benny. Was worth burning the CD. Thanks again for the link.

Just a suggestion - I use CD-RW discs to burn test Linux (or other) ISO's. You can reuse one a lot of times so you don't keep making coasters when you don't like the distribution... Anyway, it works for me quite nicely.

Burning Coasters give me a reason to hand out free cds to potential new users. People where I live can't pass up a freebie when it comes to Linux. Sometimes it even takes/sticks to em rubberman. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't even look. So thats won reason I use CDRs rubberman. Besides, all my CDRWs are the old 650 mb versions, HA , and most live cds take up more space than that. My wife used to work for Comp Usa so I got a ton of employee perks from when she worked there. The smaller distros go on the CDRWs. Thanks though, Happy Trails

Good point, about the 650MB CD-RW sizes. That's what I use, though I haven't had a problem, yet... :-). In any case, CD-R's are cheap enough (about 20c US each) that I should worry too much about it. I've been using 2GB micro-SD cards lately to build liveUSB linux systems. I have a stack of them now. Work great, and I can reinstall newer versions of the OS when I need to. Cost these days, about $2-2.50 USD. And if I decide I don't want that distribution any more, I load some mp3's on it to play in my car stereo. :-). I get about 20 albums @ 192kbps on each. I have one for Jazz, one for Classic, one for Rock, one for Blue Grass, one for Trad, one mix set... I used to go on a road trip with a big bag of CD's - now I just drop some SD chips in the console and off I go!
