It's been two months since "changes" were announced -- but we are still with no news, no articles, no explanations? (Check http://www.linux.com/feature/156093 for the original explanation.)

Shashank Sharma still posts and occasionally locks or moves threads. He apparently notified someone of the problems, but no word. I think the site is basically dead, which is a shame. Given the url "linux.com", it's a magnet for newbies, and as it is, likely to give them a bad impression : http://www.linux.com/forums/topic/4680

Time for a shakedown cruise. Still no formatting in these forums, though it is possible that they will be moving to the new web-ui.

I'm actually pretty excited about the new site; it seems like they are extremely open to suggestions and it will be a very organically grown community.

Unfortunately, we still have to re-register to access the IdeaForge site. Too bad they couldn't let us keep our profiles from Linux.com.

I honestly found this forum pretty good for noobs like me. Everyone here seems to be EXTREMELY helpful, and has got me started as fast as 1 night(from the time i first ran across Linux on youtube, to the time i got my first distro installed) only real issues i could see is the lack of population, and not being able to use coding(like html, my fav)

We can all learn somethin' new.... ESPECIALLY me...Dell Latitude D520 laptop, Mint 6
