installing update

vincero Joined: Mar 15, 2009 Posts: 5 Other Topics	Posted Mar 15, 2009 at 8:00:45 PM Subject: installing update tried to install update "linux-image-2.6.24.23-generic [17.0 mb] Get message "error occurred E:var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image 2.6.24.23 generic_2.6.24.48_ i386.deb: unable to make backup link of'./boot/ vm linuz-2.6.24.23-generic before installing new version. I don't know what to do. Can someone please help? new at linux Thank you

I'm not very familiar with it, but am I right that you've installed Ubuntu using Wubi on your Windows machine? Is your install on a FAT32 partition?
