Subject: QoS: Packet marking
Hi guys, I have a RedHat7 running DjbDNS (installed in DNS-CACHE mode). The thing is that I´ve noticed that this server send a lot of ICMP DestUnreach packets marked as CS6 (Class selector 6 in the ToS field). I stopped the DNS server, but the computer was still sending those marked packets. I stopped IPTABLE (now the DNS server was running) but nothing changed. I tried sending ICMP packets manually using ping by the packets were not getting marked. Does anyone knows anything about this? I mean, why are those packets getting marked and by which application? Thanks and regards, Sandor (gsandorx@gmail.com)
