Please help me, I'm running on a 64 bit Vista Sony Vaio Laptop. I have made numerous installation disks, and they all boot up fine... The problem is that it doesn't run or install, the screen becomes multicolored and then doesn't do anything. The discs I have made are all 64 bit. Please help...Thanks

Couple of things to try - boot in to recovery mode and select "xfix". Here's a guide that will get you into recovery mode : http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/fixsudo : It's about a different problem, but all we need is the recovery mode part. Mine did the same thing when i first started the install. fuzzy screen lookedl like a glitch. but after a couple minutes or so, it finally kicked in. when it gets there, let it go for a few minutes and see if it starts loading after a bit
