I presume you get the normal graphical login screen and are using the standard Gnome desktop? Likely it is that your system is not using the correct video driver. What video adapter are you using? Let us know and we can provide instructions how to fix the desktop configuration. Sometimes real fast is almost as good as real time. Remember, Google is your friend!
