hello i have just recieved my new eee 900 ha with xp i would love to use linux on my machine i am wondering what is the best flavour for this model. battery life is a concern but the main concern is easy compatibility. im a relative noob only 6 months experience with it after my old computer ceased to function under windows and i didnt have my disks. i very quickly fell in love with ubuntu, and then sabayon. anyway does anyone have any linux flavour suggestions for my specific model as it has a 160 gb hard drive im curious two know if any of the full blown os's will operate efficiently or if the intel atom 1.6ghz processor 1gb ram will be hampered by a larger os.
