Subject: Linux on the Sony Bravia Series TV
Hey guys, I hope this is a good place to ask about this. Today i've got my new sony bravia tv, and when i saw the list of features it has (Network connections, RSS Readers, eye-candy UI and all the online widgets), my first Idea was that it might be running linux. I googled a bit and found the following: http://products.sel.sony.com/opensource/source_tv.shtml#2009.1 A list of sony bravias which run linux and software downloads for it. I am not really experienced in linux but i know some basics and would like "hack it" so i can access the tv via SSH or similar. So i wanted to ask here if anyone has an idea about how to access the TV (Fake firmware patch or something?). I googled too, but nobody seemed to have considered this before, so i wasn't able to find any resources concerning this idea

Great question! If you find out how to "hack" the Bravia, please post that information here, and on www.linuxforums.org! TAL.
