pass paramaters from grub to shell script

Hi, i'm using grml to maintain my pc's. i would like to pass one (or more) parameters from grub to a shell script (zsh in the case of grml), which in turn calls a php-script, to restore an image. root logs in automatically using rungetty, and the script (menu) is called through .zshrc is there a way to solve this? regards, tim
