Subject: How do i ......... Squid on linux
Recently my boss installed linux on a box and made it the web catcher However he also bought another pc and installed windows 2003 so the linux and squid manage the internet and the win2k3 manges the dhcp am the it technician at this place. but i risk my job if i dont allow bittorent to go through I have tried all posible wasys all in vain to make things worse I dont know how to add even a sentence in the linux so please help and please try to illustrator fro me how i can install bittorent onto win2k3 and allow the squid psuh them through. u can however push the answer to mugs_ismail at yahoo.com i know u get it i will be so glad this week is my last if i dont do it.

Hey buddy! Ok sorry i didnt post sooner. Just to clarify you have MS Windows Server 2003 and you want to install Bittorrent??? I have a copy of server 2003 ill have a go and let you know how i got on. Hey dude! I just installed server 2003 and Bittorrent and it all works quite ok. I downloaded from the Bittorrent site, installed it and it works without having to restart the machine. Can you share your squid.conf file with us? Also what does /var/log/squid/access.log say? My guess is you have to create an allow rule for the windows machine. Can you browse the internet from the Windows machine?
