The 15-member board includes well-known members of the community such as Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth, legal expert Andrew Updegrove, and Oracle software engineer Wim Coekaerts. The international community is represented by three Japanese representatives: Masahiro Date of Fujitsu, Hisashi Hashimoto of Hitachi, and Tsugikazu Shibata of NEC. Other members are employed by Intel, AMD, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and Novell, among others.
