Univention Corporate Client 2.0 released

UCC 2.0 has been released on 11th June 2014. It includes an update to Kubuntu 14.04 which guarantees the support of the latest hardware. A new assistant for the configuration and rollout of UCC facilitates the initial setup. This wizard also integrates Citrix receivers with a few clicks. After the setup and configuration, the UCC images can now be administrated centrally within the graphical management system of Univention Corporate Server (UCS). UCS is the operating system, UCC is based on. The Support for xrdp has also been integrated making the access to the KDE Linux desktop of UCC much faster, also from Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X systems. The UEFI boot standard is now supported and the boot time reduced. The UCC image build tool has experienced many improvements resulting in the creation of more compact images, among other things.
