What is Windows program Cool Edit & Cool Edit Pro equivalent under Linux any distribution. Please help and answer.

U may try Audacity from here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/source
OR install WINE, ver 1.2 running fine at least u can try it.

Cool Edit doesn't correctly work on Wine. You can try mentioned Audacious or Ardour.
