It seems to be pretty even with resources and speed in installing/removing software.
Did anyone saw a difference or its just down to being a new kernel.
If you have the same setup and are using the same applications and window manager in each version, I don't think you'll find any difference in speed.

I wonder what the speed difference is between KDE, Gnome3 and Unity?
