Distro name and version is necessary. If possible go in rescue mode / repair mode, u may try to run sax2..... though full details r required!

In order to get some specific answers, you really have to give us specific info about your hardware and the software (Linux Distro) that you're using and/or intend on installing. Using the phrase "it's still not right" is not going to get you useful answers.
