Link to this post 28 Oct 12

Hello,

I am running Ubuntu 10.10
I just installed GLEW and GLFW by sudo apt-get install

How can I find the default installation path to these libraries, please ?
I need that to add their path to the Makefile in order to compile my program

Any help is welcome

In a Terminal use the command: which
e.g. which glew
and which glfw

This command identifies the executable. It is more specific then the command: whereis

Most of the executable files will be found in /usr/bin or /bin if your distro still hasn't done the /usr move. Use the instructions arochester gave you first though. Sometimes the executables have different names than the actual application.
