RE: How do i upgrade to tlx?
I have never heard or tlx, but I don't think that matters. I checked their site and found the WL700RM that states it has linux drivers, you need to: 1. download the driver package 2. extract the contents 3. copy the Drivers/Linux directory to a usb drive or other medium to be transferred. 4. open the medium with the drivers on the other computer and follow the steps listed in the readme.txt file.

    RE: Hello all :D
If you have any questions about your scripting feel free to ask here, that is a definite hobby for me. P.S. You can store any scripts of source code at github, so you can share both your linux scripts and C# programs that you wish to be open in one location.

RE: Cannot Re-install Gimp Into Mandriva
The error message is quite clear, it is looking for libpoppler, if you have a newer version installed that what is requested you can create a symlink in the lib directory under the expected name pointing to the existing library file. Do you know how to check your installed apps and how to search the filesystem to see what lilpoppler version is present?

    RE: Hello all :D
Welcome to the forum, I am glad that you decided to make this your first site for contributions. We appreciate you contributions and willingness to share. I have reviewed some of your posts and would like to offer some advise on your scripts. 1. Create a git repo to store and sync your scripts so they are more widely visible, in addition you can post links to the repo here which will point to the updated scripts. For example my repo is at https://github.com/mfillpot , in which I think you may benefit from checking out the functions in the slackdoctool repo. 2. Explore the use or variables, arrays and loops to reduce the modification complexity and redundancy in the scripts.

RE: fastest modern distro discussion :)
Any distro that installs a minimal core system and requires the user to install each app including the gui, such as arch and gentoo, are generally the fastest because they do not have unneeded components cluttering up the system and the config files are short to direct to the users needs. The distros such as fedora, ubuntu and the derivitives are the slowest because they package everything and the kitchen sink when it comes to extensible features. However in nearly all distros with a little reading you can optimize the speeds to nearly the speed of arch. In my case I am using the slackware full install with modified config files and have a 10 seconds boot time and nearly instant responses.
