Can some help me with this, please, thanks

I am trying to copy some local files on a server to a remote nas. here is the command i am running any way i switch around i get the same error message. I know rsync works locally because i rsynced from a local file to another local file or directory.

its the local directory/file to a remote location i have issues with

/usr/bin/rsync -vr --progress /test root@IP:/mnt/DroboFS/Shares/test
sh: rsync: not found
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [receiver]
rsync error: remote command not found (code 127) at io.c(463) [receiver=2.6.8]

The simplest method would be to invoke rsync via ssh on the remote machine to complete the data synchronization. Try the command below:

/usr/bin/rsync -avz -e ssh /test root@IP:/mnt/DroboFS/Shares/test

It would be quite beneficial if you setup shared keys for the ssh sessions so that you don't have to enter the password for each synchronization. However for security reasons I recommend setting up a new user account with rights only to read and write to the directories and use that account only for synchronization, so that you don't have to leave ssh open for root access.
