			<title>Skype and PulseAudio</title>
			<link>http://www.linux.com/news/software/applications/257199-video-skype-lives-on-karmic#comment-1673</link>
			<description>Actually setting Pulse Audio with Skype is not really that difficult. The problem is that there is no option to set the default audio in/out from Skype. In order to manage the audio device used by Skype, we need Pulse Audio Device Chooser.

First get padevchooser.

sudo apt-get install padevchooser

Then, run it (Applications-&gt;Sound &amp; Video-&gt;Pulse Audio Device Chooser) . Click on the icon located on the tray. Select Volume Control. Let it open.
The run Skype and log in. Make a test call. During the call, have a look at the Volume Control especially at the Playback and Recording tab. Skype audio assignment should then be displayed. You can then assign whichever audio input or output to Skype using this tool.

I wasted quite significant time in order to get it working in the first time.

			<title>Skype Video CIF Webcam</title>
			<link>http://www.linux.com/news/software/applications/257199-video-skype-lives-on-karmic#comment-1670</link>
			<description>I just set up Skype over the Thanksgiving holiday, and found that the only way to get my CIF chip-based webcam to show video to the remote user was to start skype this way:

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so /usr/bin/skype

I found this suggestion in some Ubuntu forum regarding the 64bit distro, but this works well for me using 32bit Fedora! Thanks for the tips! Good luck!
