Book Description
Absoft's Pro Fortran is a complete tool suite designed to automate building extremely fast parallel code on AMD and Intel multi-core systems. Compiler is full F95 with legacy and F2003 extensions. Other features include: APO, IPO, PGFDO optimizers, SSE* support, auto-vectorization and Absoft’s proprietary Dyanmic AP load balancing technology which has demonstrated 20% performance increases on multi-core systems. OpenMP 3.0 is supported in compiler, runtime and IDE. Debugging and analyzing code is handled via Absoft’s Fx3 graphical debugger and graphical SMP/vector code analyzer. The compilers can be operated via command line or the included graphical IDE which is designed for Fortran/C/C++ and includes several Fortran specific features not available from other vendors. Integrated programmer’s editor facilitates development in both Fortran and C/C++. Also included are optimized core math libraries and 2D/3D graphics. Support for nVidia CUDA libraries is available directly via the compiler or with the CAPS HMPP preprocessor. Pro Fortran for Linux is compatible with most versions of Linux and the gnu tool chain. Pro Fortran for Windows supports Microsoft C/C++ as a plug-in to facilitate mixed code development. The version of Pro Fortran for Mac OS/Intel is fully compatible with core Apple tools and supports Apple C/C++ as a plug-in. Both Windows and Mac versions include MRWE application framework which automatically adds a Windows/Mac style user interface to all compiled programs. The Polyhedron benchmark suite which compares 9 compilers across 16 different tests consistently confirms Absoft Pro Fortran as the top performing compiler on both Linux and Windows systems (Polyhedron does not test Mac). Top rated technical support is included with all purchases. IMSL numerical libraries (1000+ special function routines) are available as bundle options on Linux, Windows or Mac systems.
